 ‘The View’ Outperforms ‘The Talk’ in All Key Target Demos and Widens Its Lead Over the CBS Program in Total Viewers and Woman 25-54, Year to Year

Season to Date, ‘The View’ Leads ‘The Talk’ Across the Board, Substantially Increases Its Advantages from the Same Point Last Season in Total Viewers, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49, and Posts Its Largest Season Leads Over the CBS Program in 5 Years

ABC’s “The View” averaged 2.928 million Total Viewers, 505,000 Women 25-54 and 336,000 Women 18-49 during the week of October 30, 2017, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “The View” led CBS’ “The Talk” (2.602 million, 387,000 and 265,000, respectively) during the week in Total Viewers (+326,000), Women 25-54 (+118,000) and Women 18-49 (+71,000).

“The View” widened its leads over CBS’ “The Talk” year to year in Total Viewers (+98% – 326,000 vs. 165,000) and Women 25-54 (+123% – 118,000 vs. 53,000).

For the 2nd week in a row, “The View” was up compared to the year-ago week (w/o 10/24/16) in Total Viewers (+2% – 2.928 million vs. 2.870 million).

Season to date, “The View” leads CBS’ “The Talk” across the board, substantially increasing its advantages from the same point last season in Total Viewers (347,000 vs. 151,000), Women 25-54 (125,000 vs. 31,000) and Women 18-49 (80,000 vs. 45,000). In fact, “The View” is posting its largest season leads over the CBS program in Total Viewers and Women 25-54 in 5 years – since the 2012-13 season.

In addition, “The View” is improving compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+19,000 – 2.886 million vs. 2.867 million), posting its largest overall audience in 3 years – since the 2014-15 season.
