ABC Dominates Wednesday at Season Highs With the ‘CMA Awards’

ABC Wednesday Prime Time (8:00-11:00 p.m. – 10.1 million and 2.1/9 in AD18-49):
Featuring its 3-hour telecast of “The 52nd Annual CMA Awards,” ABC dominated Wednesday night, ranking No. 1 in all 6 half-hours of primewith Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. During prime time, ABC beat its nearest competition by 3.2 million viewers (+46% – 10.1 million vs. 6.9 million – NBC) and by 62% in Adults 18-49 (2.1/9 vs. 1.3/5 – Fox). ABC delivered its best numbers on any night this seasonwith entertainment programming.
- ABC’s “CMA Awards” stood as Wednesday’s definitive No. 1 TV program, outdelivering runners-up NBC’s “Chicago Med” by 35% with viewers (10.1 million vs. 7.5 million), and Fox’s “Empire” and CBS’ “Survivor” by 50% with young adults (2.1/9 vs. 1.4/6 – the Fox and CBS shows tied).
- ABC built to Wednesday season highs with its best non-sports performance on the night in just over 1 year– since 11/8/17.
