Advantages Over the CBS Program Year to Year in All Key Target Demos

Season to Date, ‘The View’ Is Posting Gains in Total Viewers, 
Marking Its Most Watched Season in 3 Years,
and Is Delivering Its Largest Season Leads Over ‘The Talk’ in Total Viewers and Women 25-54 in 5 Years

ABC’s “The View” averaged 2.866 million Total Viewers, 476,000 Women 25-54 and 342,000 Women 18-49, during the week of Feb. 26, 2018, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “The View” outdelivered CBS’ “The Talk” (2.499 million, 402,000 and 271,000, respectively) during the week in Total Viewers (+367,000), Women 25-54 (+74,000) and Women 18-49 (+71,000).

“The View” widened its advantages over “The Talk” year to year in Total Viewers (+182% – 367,000 vs. 130,000), Women 25-54 (+7% – 74,000 vs. 69,000) and Women 18-49 (+9% – 71,000 vs. 65,000).

“The View” was up over the prior week in Women 18-49 (+1% – 342,000 vs. 337,000). 

Season to date, “The View” is posting gains compared to the same point last season in Total Viewers (+1% – 2.962 million vs. 2.938 million), marking its most watched season in 3 years – since the 2014-15 season. 

In addition, “The View” leads CBS’ “The Talk” across the board, increasing its advantages from the same point last season in Total Viewers (355,000 vs. 187,000), Women 25-54 (108,000 vs. 61,000) and Women 18-49 (71,000 vs. 69,000).  In fact, “The View” is posting its largest season leads over the CBS program in Total Viewers and Women 25-54 in 5 years – since the 2012-13 season.
