ABC’s multiplatform business initiative includes WATCH ABC, an app that allows viewers to watch their favorite shows on multiple devices, at home and on the go, on-demand or streamed live.

WATCH ABC lets fans watch current episodes of their favorite ABC shows anytime, anywhere on their desktop, smartphone, tablet or connected TV devices. Authenticated viewers who subscribe to a participating pay TV service in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Houston, Fresno, Philadelphia and Raleigh-Durham can also watch a live 24- hour feed of the network and have access to the most recent episodes. Disney|ABC currently has deals with the following pay TV providers: Comcast, Cablevision, Cox Communications, Charter Communications, DirecTV, DISH, Midcontinent Communications, Verizon FiOS, Google Fiber and AT&T U-verse, among others.

In September, 2014, Disney|ABC re-launched its industry-defining WATCH ABC services with enhanced social sharing features that provide fans with an even more personalized experience. With a complete redesign of the user interface and user experience also included, this re-launch was the most significant update to the service since its debut.

FastShare: Whether it’s that laugh-out-loud joke, an unbelievable plot twist or can’t miss moment, the new FastShare feature allows fans to easily access and share clips of their favorite and most shareable in-show moments, all while staying within the viewing experience in the app. Fans can also share the entire full episode.

Social Lens: Integrates fan’s personal Facebook and Twitter accounts into the WATCH ABC app so they can watch the content they love while they socialize with their friends.

Multi-Cam: Offers fans exclusive access to backstage/venue cameras during live events.

Formed in 2009, the ABC Entertainment Group, comprised of ABC Entertainment and ABC Studios, develops and produces compelling programming across all day parts for both national and international broadcast and digital platforms, as well as for national syndication.

ABC Studios

ABC Studios is a global leader in the development, production and distribution of entertainment content across broadcast, cable and streaming platforms. The studio is the primary content provider for ABC Entertainment, producing hit series for the network, including “American Housewife,” “black-ish,” “For The People,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “How to Get Away with Murder” and “Station 19”; co-productions “The Good Doctor,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” and “Speechless”; and late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” along with “Criminal Minds” for CBS. Under the ABC Studios umbrella is also ABC Signature Studios, a dedicated division spearheading development and production in premium and basic cable, as well as streaming platforms. ABC Signature Studios’ returning and upcoming series include “Godfather of Harlem” for EPIX; event limited series “Little Fires Everywhere” and “Marvel’s Runaways” for Hulu; “Besties,” ”grown-ish” and “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger” for Freeform; “SMILF” for Showtime and multicam comedy “All About the Washingtons” for Netflix. In addition, ABC International Studios oversees global development and production. The studio is currently in pre-production on the second season of the drama series, “Harrow.”

ABC Signature Studios

ABC Signature Studios is a division of ABC Studios spearheading development and production in all cable and streaming platforms. The artist-driven arm provides a year-round destination for development and production across the cable and streaming landscape. Signature recently received a straight-to-series order from EPIX for “Godfather of Harlem,” created by Chris Brancato and Paul Eckstein, with Forest Whitaker set to star and produce. Signature and Hello Sunshine received a straight-to-series order from Hulu for the event limited series, “Little Fires Everywhere,” with Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington attached to star and produce. Signature’s new series include “Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger,” a co-production with Marvel Television; along with the comedy “Besties,” from Kenya Barris, for Freeform; as well as Amblin TV and ABC Signature’s “All About the Washingtons” for Netflix. These projects join a robust slate of returning series, including the critically acclaimed comedy “SMILF” for Showtime; “grown-ish” for Freeform; and “Marvel’s Runaways” for Hulu, a co-production with Marvel Television.

A premier news and information alliance between ABC News and Yahoo! ABC Owned Television Stations Group

The ABC Owned Television Stations Group includes WABC-TV New York, KABC-TV Los Angeles, WLS-TV Chicago, WPVI-TV Philadelphia, KGO-TV San Francisco, KTRK-TV Houston, WTVD-TV Raleigh-Durham and KFSN-TV Fresno. The eight owned stations reach 23.3% of all U.S. television households. All are strong performers in their local markets, with 7 of 8 ranking #1 sign-on to sign-off in core 18-49 and 25-54 audiences.
